I built Rollout because I was tired of waiting for photos that never came.

One party. One friend with all the best shots. One day later, a blurry dump in the group chat.

It started at a house party. One person had the best camera phone in the group, and the candids they were getting were incredible. I asked them to share the photos that night. They said sure, just busy right now. I asked again the next morning. Still busy.

The photos arrived a day later. Compressed, sent over WhatsApp in one bulk dump.

The moment was gone. Half the people at that party never even got them.

I started asking around: friends, flatmates, people from other trips. Everyone had the same story. A different party, a different person, the same ending. Photos stuck on one phone, never reaching the people in them.

I looked at everything out there. Shared albums need everyone on the same service. AirDrop only works between iPhones. WhatsApp destroys quality. iCloud albums lock out Android. Nothing just worked, for everyone, in the moment.

So I built Rollout. Make an event, share one QR code, and everyone's photos land in one album, live. No waiting, no asking, no blurry copies a day later.

In the moment

It has to work while you're still at the event, not later, when the moment is gone and the group chat has gone quiet.

Zero barriers

Joining has to be as easy as scanning a QR code or tapping a link. If it takes effort, people skip it, and their photos never arrive.

Every photo

Not 40% of the photos, not blurry chat-app copies. Every shot, from every phone, in high quality, to everyone who was there.

Principles we build by.

    Friction is the enemy

    Every extra tap, every form, every permission screen is a reason someone won't join. We remove them until there's nothing left to remove.

    The moment doesn't wait

    "I'll share them after" is where photos go to die. Everything we build assumes you need it while the event is still happening.

    Quality is non-negotiable

    Photos stay in high quality, sharp enough to print. Never the blurry copy a chat app sends. That line holds whatever storage costs.

    Privacy is the default

    Your photos are yours. Events are private, face search runs on our own in-house face detection, and we don't use your content to train anything.
